Nice to meet you! GoTutor was founded by Dylan Archer (left of the photo) and Ruben Tanner (right of the photo) — two students at the University of Portsmouth who came together with one shared goal: to make quality tutoring more accessible, personal, effective, and simpler.

Ruben Tanner is currently studying Software Engineering and brings the tech vision to GoTutor. With a drive to get it done we have never seen, and a desire to build smart solutions (with thousands of lines of code), Ruben is the driving force behind our platform’s development and user experience.

Dylan Archer studies Economics, Finance, and Banking, and is passionate about making private tuition as simple as possible. With a strong interest in both education and business, Dylan focuses on growing GoTutor into a platform that genuinely focuses on students with their education, tutors with their careers, and everyone with simplicity.

We started GoTutor because we’ve both been stuck on a topic the night before an exam, or wishing for clearer explanations from teachers. We wanted to create a space where students could easily connect with tutors who actually get what it feels like.
